Live music is part of our roots. With a capacity of up to 550 guests, The Venue on Sunset is one of the area’s top mid-size venues for concerts and live entertainment. Equipped with professional sound and lighting, the space is built to support everything from acoustic sets and local bands to major touring acts and breakthrough artists on the rise.
Weddings
Host your wedding at The Venue on Sunset with space for up to 200 guests and versatile backdrop options to match your style. From ceremony to reception, you can feature a live band or acoustic act, with full catering options and customizable bar packages available. Keep the celebration going next door at Classics Yard, a one-of-a-kind interactive social space that turns a traditional reception into something truly unique. Located less than a mile from Nathaniel Greene Park, it’s easy to add outdoor greenery photos to your day while keeping everything close and convenient.
ABOUT THE VENUE ON SUNSET
Our Story
Five years ago, our family stepped into this space, formerly known as The Riff, with a vision to create something different for our hometown of Springfield, Missouri. We brought big ideas, deep roots in hospitality, and a passion for hosting. Our background comes from owning and operating local bars, restaurants, and live music venues, including Krave Seafood & Oyster Bar and FRIENDS Karaoke Pub. Creating spaces where people gather, celebrate, and connect is simply what we do.
We thrive on events of all kinds. Live music is part of our DNA, but so are company parties, banquets, weddings, private celebrations, and everything in between. When we rebranded to The Venue on Sunset, our goal was clear: make the space more versatile, more accommodating, and ready for whatever vision walks through our doors.
We love hosting groups from A to Z, and we love watching each event bring the room to life in its own unique way. Whether you’re here for a concert, a corporate gathering, or one of life’s biggest milestones, seeing your guests fully present and enjoying the moment is what makes it all worth it.
